Meet the Team

The Staff at Trinity Church are a dedicated group of believers who have a passion for ministry and a desire to see impact in both the church and the community.   • Pastor tim powers

    This is Tim Powers. I’m from Marion, IN and a graduate ofMarion High School. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in English from Ball State University, and I have a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY. I was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1995. My passions for ministry include teaching, preaching, designing worship, and spiritual formation. I am especially interested in Wesleyan, Celtic, Franciscan, and Ignatian spiritualities. I’m also passionate about reaching beyond the walls of the church to connect people with Jesus and helping people discern and develop their own calls to ministry (all baptized followers of Jesus are called to ministry). I enjoy running, reading, music, movies, and I’m a science fiction, comic book, and superhero geek. I play trumpet and flugelhorn (although I need to practice more). I also enjoy helping people, especially kids, develop their creativity and imagination through the arts. I’ve written a trilogy of comedy superhero movies, and I hope to find a cast of middle school and above kids to make the definitive version of those. Ellen is from Garrett, IN and a graduate of IPFW School of Nursing. She’s a Registered Nurse, and she’ll be looking for a job starting this fall. She enjoys baking, crafts, and going to the beach—any beach. We have two cats, Angel (a Bombay) and Walter (a Manx). We have a King Charles Cavelier Spaniel named Emmy. Ellen and I have been married for 33 years.

  • Debbie Miller - Children's Leader     circleemail 

    Debbie has been a part of the Trinity family for approximately 10 years. She and her husband Gregg returned to Indiana after Gregg retired from 22 years of military service. Debbie's passion for kids can be evidenced by her list of employment and volunteer connections. She has been involved with Girl Scouts, children ministries, youth ministries and worked at two different daycares. She is a mother of two and grandmother of six. Debbie's high creativity in crafts is an added bonus to the children's ministry area along with her desire to serve.  


  • randi Gross - Administrative Assistant

    Randi has been in administrative assistance for over 20 years now. Starting in non-for-profit at the Noble County Council on Aging. She worked my way up while attending college part time and left as the Assistant Executive Director. She entered into the Insurance field as a Property & Casualty Producer and has been licensed for 16 years now.  She worked at McClish Insurance for over 10 yrs & they specialized in Church Insurance.  After her boss retired she started as the administrative assistant at Praise Lutheran Church (pre-Covid & during Covid).  She looks forward to sharing her accumulated experience and being a positive assets to TCUM. She is happy to be here and hopes to be of good service to the congregation and community here.

  • Jessica Swogger - Nursery Attendant

    Jessica is a 2003 graduate of East Noble. She started babysitting at 13 years old and has been in the childcare industry since the age of 16. She owns and operates her own in home childcare, "Mini Munchkins". She has ran her own childcare business for the past 10 years and currently progressing towards state licensing.  Jessica and her husband Martin have been married for 15 years and have 3 daughters.
